One of my distributors called to say that he got involved in an accident.
He claims that he has 4 prospects with him, but he cant make it as he was rear ended and the guy who hit him is arguing on whose fault is it.
I quickly rounded up my friends, unbutton a few buttons on my shirt and went off to “rescue” my distributor.
Well, when we were there, there was no sign of him and when I called, he didn’t answer his handphone.
Called him like a thousand times and still no answer.
Hmmm……..
He probably couldn’t make the meeting and came out with an accident excuse.
I guess he didn’t figure that a “posse” was rounded up and he would have to be “rescued”.
This incident got me thinking about the many excuses that people make when they do not have the decency to tell the truth.
Why must one make up a crazy story instead of saying, “I cant make it” or “I am scared, can we reschedule?”
Here are two extreme stories that I can still remember.
Called up a prospect that I have been following for more than a year.
Instead of getting my prospect, a “dude” answered the handphone and said that my prospect just passed away after battling a critical illness.
WTF!
Can you beat a “I am dead” excuse?
Of course you can.
There was another prospect who borrowed money from me.
Not much, just RM50.00
Still it was money owed and I would like to know the status.
Btw, after she borrowed money from me, she stop answering my calls.
After a year, when I was changing my handphone, I noticed her number and thought to myself, lets give her a call and see what happens.
Guess what, she answered…. (I guess she deleted my number and didn’t remember me)
I didn’t get angry, I just ask for her (It might be a different person who is now using that number)
She is who I called for….. and she doesn’t remember who am I, even after I introduced myself.
Are you ready for the excuse?
Are you really, really sure you are ready?

She was involved in an accident a few months back and now she has amnesia!
WTF!!!!
Fake an accident, fake a death, fake amnesia………
*sigh*
I complain that my baby expects too much from others, and I guess I suffer the same problem.
